Power steering pump!

OK the pump is a year old and leaking out of the front shaft ever so slightly.  No biggie except for the fact that the fluid is leaking out, running down the pressure line to the rack and onto the wire that goes to my oil pressure sending unit causing my guage to go  :wtf:
If I wipe the wire and sending unit clean the signal returns to normal in approximately 5 minutes of engine running time.  It takes a few days for it to come back, but it's an inconvenience.  My guess is the wire is bare somewhere along it but I have found nothing as of yet.  Anyways does anyone know if they make a seal kit for these pumps any more or am I gonna have to change the thing again to stop the leak?

Yes,you can buy re-build kits for them from just about any parts store.I bought my pump from Autozone with the lifetime warranty, and haven't had any problems with it.I found out the difference with their parts. The 1 year warranty parts only have what was wrong with the core fixed. The lifetime warranty parts are fully rebuilt.I had thought about re-building mine, but I didn't want the hassle.

the remaned pumps don't cost much just replace it. By the time you've taken the pressed on pully off the replace the seal you might as well just replace the whole thing. Just in case the powercraft seal kit number is 8527 or 8526 they only have a year waranty where as the A1cardone pumps have a lifetime waranty.  the pump number is 20-6248 and it only cost 42.99 +25.00 core  and that is walkin the door price not the employee discount price. I thiink I paid $25 for mine my cost
