87 to 86 front fender

Okay, so I got myself an 87 Cougar, I don't like the front end and was wondering if it is compatible with the 86 front, I want to replace the grille, bumper, and fender body.  Just wondering if anyone has looked into it or if I just need to stick with the 87 look.

it bolts on but the trim may not line up.

I consider the 87-88 cars headlights ti be down right dangerous. I plan on doing the same 83-86 swap at some point on my 87 bird

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

Just a little rewiring and trim issues?  That sounds pretty easy.  Thanks for the info.

I don't think it looks bad if you delete the door and fender trim.

the head lights just plain suck. if you clean polish and re-seal them, I still consider them to be mediocre. and within a few months of sitting outside the cloud right back up or turn yellow.

Yea, after you mentioned the trim I figured I'd just toss it.  I prefer the look of the 83-86 nose over the 87-88 nose anyways.

I don't like composite headlights either, regardless of make, model, year, etc. they all yellow eventually.

Now that my original question has been answered, are there any good spoilers that look good on the '87?

If you think the 87-88 headlights suck, try driving with headlight blackouts on :mullet:
