Trunk hinge question....

In the passenger side trunk hinge, one of the threaded inserts for the bolt is stripped. What is a good way to repair it? Also, how does the hinge swap out? I thought about re-tapping the hole for a new bolt.

Isnt there like a fender nut in the hinge like the hood has? Or is it a spring nut? I always thougt that was what held it on

I think it's similar to a nut welded into the hinge...My car is getting paint, so I can't look at it right now. If I try to tap new threads in it, I don't want to tear anything up. It takes a bit of torque to tap threads. I will, if I do it, use cutting fluid and get the closest size I can for a slightly larger bolt. Unless the hinge can be replaced.
