Towing

I would like to tow my light boat (under 2000lbs) with my 3.8L '83 Thunderbird. I am wondering, since the car has original shocks, that it would be wise to either, replace them with stock spec shocks, heavy-duty shocks, or airshocks (such as monroe's Max-Air). Most of the towing is simply talking my boad out of the water, the road to my house is about 100 yards. Thanks.

If your only towing 300ft I wouldn't change a thing unless...

1. It needs shocks anyway(probably), even new stockers will do wonders...

2. If the tongue weight of the trailer causes a sagging condition, then you should go with the air shocks.
