Ugly rear quarter windows

Well I finally solved my problem of the py looking trim around the rear quarter windows on my 88....I replaced them with new windows! I've been trying to buy used replacements for some time now, but every used one had the same problem. I tried a few glass outlets and I got prices as high as $850 each!!! What are these guys doing, smokin' crack? Finally found one place that I felt was reasonable, $175 each, so I got them. Guess what, they were Carlite brand, same as factory glass! They even had the Ford warrantee sticker on them. I finished the install last night as well as painting the trim at the back edge of the door. Man what a big improvement in the appearance. I've got one picture of the old and new windows together and one of the new window installed.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

Thanks for the compliments. The pictures really don't do any justice to the improvement. The glass was purchased from Cerrito Glass 1-800-338-1237. The paint I used to do the door trim was Plasti-Coat Trim Black, got it at PepGirls I think. Sorry about the picture size, I'll try to resize next time!!!
