They have just about the same interior space as our 2007 Mountaineer, which BTW, we average 22 mpg on the highway with and it has the 4.6L. Not as good as the Freestyle but it might be another option for you. Quote Selected

They are a bit more expensive and larger than the Freestyle/Taurus X.*editing for clarity: she trends toward mini-van or sedan rather than cross-over or SUV, and thinks the Flex is too "boxy".
