Who is in the DOG HOUSE

I have always had a huntingg dog and MOLLY is the best one ever. But she is in the dog house and grounded for a month by by wife. Here is why!!!





She just wanted a cool place to lay down. But got herself in BIG TROUBLE WOW !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I spend money I don't have, To build  cars I don't need, To impress people I don't know

Your wife is just being unreasonable. She should have known that's where Molly wanted to lay before planting all that stuff there!  :)

my dog shadow looks like molly...much older, 15 now.
when he was a pup he would chew two fingers out of any glove he could get his mouth on.

i lured him in the garage, closed the doors,, shadow all happy and wagging his tail...
then i showed him the glove he just chewed and associated the glove to a disappointed tone of voice.

i had pre collected up all the gloves he had dominated and showed him each one following him to every corner of the garage he thought he could find refuge.
next i slug each glove at him yelling and tellling him NO~! , showing and associating the mis deed.

to this day he wont come in the garage,, that was about 14 years ago.  He never chewed on a glove again.

dont associate his house to mis-behavior,, not a good idea the coming winter.

however, the first picture i believe shows a dog being shown the problem,,, i can tell you work well with molly just by the look on her face and the posture.

either way, stick up for molly, dogs like a cool place to lay,, soil helps thier skin by detracting insects from buzzing them.  cattle will do this to deture flys by rolling in mud.

pine needles or below a pine  tree is a place i see most animals rolling including my stupid cats.
they know by thousands of years terpintine detures skin issues and helps keep pests off them.

when i ran my sawmill cutting pine logs into lumber, i would see my free range chickens over there in the saw dust flipping thier wings and thrashing in the dust, nature knows the way, molly wanted to do some prentative maintenance on the skin and to include the natural airconditoning that could be had from the ground.

in a way, molly is brilliant.

i wonder if there is a spot that could be given to molly just for this purpose,, get down and start digging at the area with molly letting your dog know its ok to dig there.  if molly sees you doing it, then it must be ok.
maybe feed molly there a couple times.

a good spot might be where molly can do what dogs do, watch over the whole yard and yet have a place that is cool.

i'll bet molly would like a place where the driveway can be seen along with the door you all use the most, that allows a dog to see all the going on's of the domain which molly is responsible of , which is in effect a dogs natural born duty to man as thier personal choice.
