doner was an MN12 cougar from a JY for 30$, got two of them.

see below pics, took a about an hour to over come the fact that the outter two supports are over hanging on the rear qtr but simple rubbery shims under each support solved that, tin roof screws hold it down.

we have had an epic past few days.. at least there was some fun stuff to do like this.

I don't love spoilers on these car's as a rule of thumb, but that looks amazing.  Very tasteful, and add's just the right amount of attitude without looking like a Ricer.  Well done sir.....

thanks guys, this was the easiest part of the "list of things to do" on a college boys car thats been away from the garage for many weeks, but thats another story.

Did you have to adjust the torsion rods in the trunk to compensate for the extra weight?

I knew someone (and a suspected you and / or a few others) would eventually ask this question,, shows you have great insight on this stuff!

No, we did not adjust them but the rods do need bumped up one knotch.  I told Mason "have fun with that" :)
we had a ton more fish to fry and moved on after mounting.

the trunk stays open only , if you look at it real hard, it will lower and slam shut on its own.

had to do:
caliper lines ~ sound simple~ until you find that the fittings up at the hose end are seized, hacksaw them apart then learn how to use the double flair tool and work that out.

oil change~told mason a long time agon on his first oil change to not treat the oil pan nut like head bolt,, well that didnt work....  1) oversize oil pan plug and 1) double oversize plug later,, we spent two full days being F'cked!!! 
We finally resorted to the rubber expansion plug advance sells that you stick up in the hole an turn a wing nut and the thing expands. 

a couple simple things also done but for the most part its been busy the past few days sweating this oil pan plug. .... i think i have a solution i may be posting soon... other than brazing.

I figured it might need to be adjusted. I had to fix the torsion rods on my Thunderbird after the one on the driver's side popped out. It was not fun. I made a tool out of a 1" thick wooden dowl that I notched to hold the bar. I used it to shove the bar up while I bent it with a pair of vice grips. It was a pain but luckily I never came close to injuring a finger. Those  torsion rods look like they coul snap a finger clean off if they get away from you. Tell your son to have fun with that project ;).

That looks great J.  That fits the lines of the car better than most spoilers I've seen.

NICE J are you going to splash it the same color as the CAR????

Make sure you increase the pressure on the dampers. ASK ME HOW I KNOW. BAM 12 stitches to my head a while back. WHEEEEEEE!!!!!

It is like when someone installs a fiberglass hood. Then tries to close it without modifying the dampers. CRUNCH MATIC !!!!!

Could never figure out why they called it a SPOILER??????
