Will a 71 boss 302 do fine? June 16, 2005, 02:24:55 AM Hey guys im Mitchell, ive got an 86 tbird elan. Im about to get a Boss 302 from a buddy at work. My car is a v6. Does anyone have the slightest idea if im gonna be able to bolt a compresser to this thing and have my electronic climate control. I can't seem to find the wiring for it and im at a loss. Also what problems do you run into with the digital dash and all the sensors on a a swap to carb? Quote Selected
Re: Will a 71 boss 302 do fine? Reply #1 – June 16, 2005, 02:32:53 AM I'd like to know what your going to do about headers let alone about A/C. Other than that I dont know. A real boss 302 uses cleveland heads and I dont know if they make headers for cleveland engines in a fox. Quote Selected
Re: Will a 71 boss 302 do fine? Reply #2 – June 16, 2005, 06:46:18 AM The Cleveland brackets may fit, I really don't think so though(I know a couple of guys with Boss 302 Stangs, I can check). If not you'll likely have to pay big bucks for the proper brackets, but NO Boss 302 Stang ever had A/C. If its a real Boss 302 you can sell it and buy an aluminum headed 5.0 for what its worth. BTW there were NO '71 Boss 302s, '71 was a new body style and they switched to the Celevland 351 for the Boss engines. Quote Selected
