79-93 mustang k member brace Reply #1 – February 05, 2013, 12:03:32 AM The 83-85 T-birds/Cougars have the same K-member as the 79-93 Mustang. The 86-88 cars have the K-member with the goofy engine mounts. You should be fine bolting the Mustang brace to your 83 Thunderbird. Quote Selected

The 83-85 TBird/Cougar K-members aren't the same as the Fox Mustang. They use the same control arms and motor mounts, but dimensionally they are not the same. WAAAAAY back when, I tried to fit a Kenny Brown 4-point K-member brace on the old '83 TBird...didn't work. Quote Selected

79-93 mustang k member brace Reply #7 – February 10, 2013, 11:58:35 AM You can make em work it just is a pain. I got a Q1 Tubular K member for 79-93 Fox bodies on my 87 Tbird drag car. I just ovaled some of the mounting holes with a die grinder and rasp. I know you can make em work on any fox cougar/tbird. Just don't think it is a simple "Bolt on" , kinda like fox body long tube headers, it can be done just tedious at times. My buddy had the same setup on his 4 eyed tbird so I know it fits on the early fox birds/cougs as well. Quote Selected
