Just a matter of time before 1 of these went BOOM: ALL FIXED :D February 08, 2013, 02:23:16 PM Ok, so a couple of days ago, I stopped by a Discount Tire store to get some prices on some tires for my wife's little Camary that she absolutely loves. The counter person does his usual stuff and goes out to check the tread depth. He comes back inside and looks a little weird, and says "You are going to get 2 tires today aren't you?!" I said "Not today but in the next couple of days why?" He then proceedes to tell that the front 2 tires are shot as in not tread. I was rather skeptical because I had rotated them a couple months back when I did the brake job on it. He implored me that If I must drive it, to please use the back roads and not the interstate to get either to my shop or home until I can get the tires replaced. I said alright and proceeded to have them get the tires ordered in and I'd be back. So Wednesday when I was getting off work, the wife called me up and asked me to bring a gas can and jumper cables for one of the doctors she works with. He had broke down on I-65 he had called her office. So I grabbed everything she asked for and of I ran, I should mention that I was driving her car, Anyway, I had to turn around (I did it legally ) and on the return trip the speedo hit 80mph (in a 70 zone). Turned out he was just out of gas So yesterday I stop at the tire shop to drop the car off and while waiting for my boss to swing by, they had removed the old tires and wheels. Below are a few pics of what we were driving on.This is only the begining Quote Selected

Just a matter of time before 1 of these went BOOM: ALL FIXED :D Reply #4 – February 08, 2013, 03:23:37 PM Thanks. We haven't had any real complaints either. I've picked up some new Monroe sense-a-trac "Quick Kit" struts and am going to replace it all this weekend and Monday get it re-aligned. Should take care of whatever the problem is. Quote Selected
Just a matter of time before 1 of these went BOOM: ALL FIXED :D Reply #5 – February 09, 2013, 03:21:11 PM Yeah, definitely should have the alignment checked. I see you were running BF Goodrich tires. I have run the BFG Traction T/A on the wife's 2001 Accord with good luck. We got 65K miles on the last pair. They aren't making the Traction T/A anymore in the size we need for the Accord. I got Yokohama Envigors this last time. We will see how they do. Quote Selected

Just a matter of time before 1 of these went BOOM: ALL FIXED :D Reply #10 – February 10, 2013, 10:43:10 AM Thanks David. I hear ya on the tread wear, the tires don't lean in at all. The pressure was were it was supposed to be. I replaced the BFG's with Arizonia's Silver Editions. The wife likes the way they look They are pretty quiet, handle the rain and snow pretty good as well. She had also choose them for our Tempo. Although the ones on the Tempo were made by Kelly and the current models are made by Cooper. Quote Selected

Just a matter of time before 1 of these went BOOM: ALL FIXED :D Reply #12 – February 13, 2013, 10:25:50 PM Toe-in can't be way out on only one wheel, it divides equally once the car is moving, which will make steering wheel off center... Quote Selected
