Not by me.... If it wasn't such an attention getter, I'd like to have a Bird done up like Bill Elliott's old #9 Coors car...

im not a big nascar fan personally, but if you do the paint sceme in the "era correct" colors, (using a drivers car from 1987 if your car isn an 87), its cool with me

just dont try to take it too far and end up making it look py, ive seen way too many people mess up nascar themes
It's Gumby's fault.

I always wanted to do up my maroon 88 like Davey Allison's Havoline car....
Maybe I will on the white 'Bird.... :hick:
I think if it's well executed, and you are into Nascar, then go for it!

Just remember, if putting a rally hood scoop, four fox lights, and a massive rear wing on a four door grocery getter is rice, than building your fox cougar like a NASCAR is as well. Hey, he's just trying to make his lancer look like a rally car. What's rice about that? ;)

You asked for opinions. My opinion is, any daily driver made to look like a NASCAR is extremelly ricey.

The wings on nascar vehicles aren't triple stacked 400lb aluminum jobbies, as for doing the paint scheme that would look awesome (I'm a Martin fan also).

I see a Jeff Gordon Dupont Monte Carlo running around here all the time. It is VERY tacky looking. I don't like it at all.

On the other hand, there was a Hooters Alan Kulwicki (not sure for spelling) car around here for several years also, and it looked pretty good. Maybe just the difference in how it is done, or the difference in the overall look.

EDIT: Happened to think that maybe I like Hooters better than Jeff Gordon, might have also helped form my opinion.  :D    :ies:  :tg:  :ies:
