WTB: "Sport" Steering Wheel

Looking for a "sport" steering wheel for my 1988 XR7.  Below is a picture of the wheel.  Please PM me with price

Thanks,

That would appear to be a TC /XR7 wheel, the difference being the center button cover. I have never heard it called a "Sport" wheel before, but I could be wrong.

BTW, nice gauge setup, very similar to what I am doing to mine, but I am using the 5" SPeedo and tach instead of the 3", so I have much more modification to be done to my dash.

The Cool Cats site designated this wheel as a "sport wheel" and was the standard wheel on the '88 XR7s.  The leather wrapped wheel was an option and is the one I have. However, the wheel ring of the leather rim is VERY narrow and I would prefer to have a "fatter" grip.  As for the gauges, I stole the picture from this site:  http://www.musclemustangfastfords.com/features/mmfp_0608_1988_ford_thunderbird/photo_11.html

I believe the 87-88 xr7/sports just had the turbocoupe steering wheel, if you have trouble finding another steering wheel A stock looking steering wheel could be sourced from the early 90's xr7/supercoupes.

No, the '87-'8 Sports had the standard wheel...but a TC wheel swaps right in and improves the feel. Iirc it's a wee bit less in diameter and also a little thicker, plus it has the grip sections that feels good. Combine with the quicker ratio rack AND pump, and you've got a whole new feel.

OP, I'll keep my eye out for one...I've found a few really nice ones in the last few years..I always sell 'em fast.
