It's been awhile...

But I'm back in a bird. No, not a fox bird...  A 1977 land yacht. I picked it up yesterday from the second owner. 129,xxx on the clock. 351w auto, white leather gut.  No cancer, just some surface rust.  First thing first is a major cleaning and a set of 15x7 magnum 500's. Then possibly a 358w from my fiancées grandpops dirt track car.  I need a pimp outfit. I'll get more pics later today.

More pics. Sadly the weather today isn't very conducive for cleaning a car. The garages are full with two mustangs up in the air. Anyway, here are some dirty pics

Do want!  Same color combo as both my 80 birds,  Red with white vinyl just does it for me

Lol Ray,Skippy rode bitch. I did let him take it for a spin after I get it home. He came about 3" from kissing the rear bumper on my soon to be wife's 2012 stang when he parked it.

Honestly my first plans for this was to clean it up and flip it but I'm growing very attached...

My parents bought a 80 Fairmount futura with the same color combo back in late 79. Miserable 4 banger auto car. That car beat the hell out of me. Crushed 2 fingers in the sunroof and got a bloody nose plus a split lip from a panic stop my mom did.  dash was hard

The '90s & '00 GMs(I have two & a Marauder) are far more maneuverable than the '77-'79 Bird/Coug, those are no doubt land yachts... Of Course the GMs aren't nearly as pimpin'...

Cool car though, my folk's had a '79 Cougar, I sold it when my dad died in '91...
