heater core heat exchanger done! September 30, 2012, 05:38:32 PM this took 2 hours.buy flex "gas line" from lowes (see pictures,, (no this is not electrial armored bx!generate constant vac on both smog pump one way check valves.route gas line along back and fron of both headersnext wrap line around your H pipe hook one end up to output of smog pumphook other end up to large input of heater coreadd noise dampener on small heater core output.dress in all gas line against headers with tie wire or hose clamps. My temp inside the car is still climbing,, right now at 111degF inside on "MED" speed.i have front of car up on jacks with a fan blowing to simulated moving air under the car.Temp is holding.enjoy,,, this is my heat exchanger project for those with a tiny pin hole in thier heater core and afraid to take it out.the output of the heater core vents righ out to the atmosphere and technically with all the air moving, it would actually "SUCK" inside cabin air out of the cabin but since its a pinhole , your not losing heat.Instead of using the smog as the air mover, i actually thought about using the plastic air intake duct to as a suction on one end of the gas line while leaving the other end haning loose. Ambient engine compartment air would get sucked in and dispurse across the heater core.maybe later on ill try that.now let the redneck jokes begin Quote Selected

heater core heat exchanger done! Reply #2 – October 01, 2012, 12:59:25 AM I like it. I always wondered why heaters were always setup with cores, instead of off of the exhaust like airplanes and some early cars were. Quote Selected
