Will repost after title issues are resolved. Would rather see the car stay as a whole.  Thx members for sending me all the support messages.

seems like PA has put impossible demands on you,, and laws are not intended to be written that way.... (for the most part)

IM gonna do a dry run with my DMV in WV and see what thier recommendations are using your situation as my hypothetical example.

laws can vary from state to state, but i for one can not comprehend why the executor of the your fathers estate does not have the authority of a state issued by default power of autorney.

Your fathers passing is terrible, i lost my mother and father in the past two and 2 1/2 years.. its been terrible.

Your father died but someone had to handle (or was authorized to handle) certain matters, matters like this which should have included power of autorney.

I currently have myself and my son on my oldest boys tbird,, you got me worried now.

bottom line is that this is the car you and your father put together,, if you want to keep the hard work he and you did still rolling, a piece of him will as well.

i honestly wouldnt sell over a piece of paper that needs signed.

its been a long while but i remember you doing all this work and loved the end results~!!
this car of yours is the one my youngest boy chance drooled over!

Thanks.  We took his death certificate to the notary dmv and they called the head office. The woman said in these situations since his estate is closed that we would have to post an ad in paper declaring if anyone also had claims to this vehicle of my father.  My siblings would have to attend a court date in person verifying the car is theirs and they dont want it.    What I learned is that if my dad had a living will with the statement that the car would be mine this all wouldnt have to happen.  Its just a long lengthy and costly process.

What about finding someone out of state to "purchase" the car then "sell" it back to you with an out of state title?

call your family, explain the situation and see if you can get them to send you a notorized dospoogeent. a notorized dospoogeent is as good as a personal appearance in court. if none of your family contest it, you should be able to get it done without every walking into a court room.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.
