Valvetrain Noise

I've been thinking about this and wondering how loud your noise is. I can hear the valve train on my T-bird if I put my head near the valve covers. If I have the hood up and I'm standing next to the car I can't hear the valve train and I have roller rockers, which are louder than the stock stamped rockers. Is it loud enough for you to hear if you don't have your head near the valve cover? If it isn't than don't worry about it. I can hear the valve train in the Mustang if I put my head near the valve cover and it's a brand new car. Valve trains just inherently make noise. If it's not excessive it's fine. As long as everything is torqued to spec and your pushrods are the correct length the engine should be fine.
