1984 1985 Ford LTD LX Reply #1 – June 30, 2012, 12:02:41 PM Can you say 'rare'.From the link in the previous post.According to several sources I have read, production of the LTD LX was limited to 3260 units between mid '84 and '85, making them a rare find! And considering I've personally seen just as many LTD LXs in the junkyard as on the road, I wouldn't be surprised if less than half of them are still on the road. Quote Selected

1984 1985 Ford LTD LX Reply #3 – June 30, 2012, 09:01:00 PM I bought one of those from a junkyard probably 15 years ago. They even gave me a clear title (somehow...). It was too rusty to save though, and I parted it out. It had a strong engine though. I put a new oil pump, water pump, timing chain and all gaskets and tossed it into an 87 XR-7 I had the time. That thing ran great.I have had two 85 marquis' though (3.8L). They are nice comfortable rides. Quote Selected

A 5.0 HO Bird or Cougar would have the same parts as a regular 5.0 car but with the same engine a Mark VII or Mustang had. It would have needed no extra new or different parts. Quote Selected

1984 1985 Ford LTD LX Reply #13 – July 13, 2012, 10:34:05 PM When I was a kid, my grandma would pick me up from the prinls office in a white 85 LTD LX. I loved that car, my Uncle picked it out for here. He and Pops jokingly called it "the Four Door Stang". Quote Selected
