Spout Wiring

Well !  I'm gonna have to ohm my spout wiring and check it for a short to ground.  I checked my timing today and whether my spout was installed, or removed, the EEC was still advancing the timing.  The the timing didn't change.

Because of wiring problems, I've had to track down quite a few problems now.  So far, I've had to rewire the V.S.S., the tach, the oil press and water temp gauges and some other components to get them working correctly.  I guess I'll have to add the spout wiring to the list of bugs I've had to work out.  :(

Vic, I've got a complete, uncut '88 5.0 engine harness if you need? I pulled it from a Cougar a couple years ago...it's from a lesser optioned car...ie; manual heater, non premium sound, etc.

Hey, thanks for the offer, but the spout wiring checked out fine.  I'm either looking at a TPI issue, or quite possibly a bad ECM.  :(

Well...  This is weird.  I pulled the didtriibutor and statically timed the engine.  That fixed my spout issues.  The ECM advances timing like it's supposed to now, so all is well.  :)
