Chevy lover turned cougar fan!

Hello.

I've been a Chevy driver for a long time, but I have always liked the style of the 83-86 cat.  So I found '85 v6 Wednesday night for an unbelieveably, incredibly low price and now I realize all the work ahead of me!

I want to fix many of the little annoyances soon and then get to work on an HO 5.0 transplant.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

I've had some Camaros and Firebirds (and I also had a 'stang 5.0 convertible for a short time).

I am trying to learn the ins and outs of Ford 302s.  I've realized I want a HO from a Mark VII or a Mustang - '89 or newer.  Hard to find cheap - but lots of Crown Vics, Town Cars & Marquis for sale around here.
