4 eye T-bird

I'm casually looking for a 4 eye Thunderbird (not Cougars, Thunderbirds;)). I'd like a 5.0 car, preferably an 86 as they have the SEFI 5.0. A turbo 4 or 3.8 car would be fine too as at this point beggars can't be choosey:hick:. Just looking for something to tinker with. I'm in no hurry and I'd prefer something fairly local if possible.

You know I think a lot of the 4-eyes are gone. I've seen two for sale here in the past 3 years. Both V6 cars, one was an 85 and one was an 86. The 85 was blue and had 53,000 miles and the 86 was gold and had 48,000 miles. Both were base T-birds with not many options. I passed because I figured a 5.0 car would have to show up sometime. I guess I was wrong :hick:.

There was an '86 TC at U-Pick-It in Kansas City last fall when me and my buddy went. the ONLY damage was the pass. side quarter panel, like someone had put a jack under it, and of course it had side skirts as well, but the pass side was cracked.

I did snag the wheel and console lid from it...my buddy would've bought the whole  car to build up, but they couldn't sell it.

It was red/red and T5, looked like it had been decently cared for at that.

I nearly had tears in my eyes walking away from it.

I will be looking at an 86 in the near future that a dude wants to sell  ,,, I will get pictures

It would have to be nice, nice enough to drive 10 hours back without breaking down.

 That would be next to impossible to guarantee on any car ,even a brand new one ... but I'll give it good look

There is an 86 5.0 Bird in Dearborn MI on Craigslist in that area for $1500 the posting ID number is 2867032270. No pics on the ad but there is a phone number. You can check allofcraigs.com it's what I use when I can't find something local.

don't give up if allofcraigs leads you to a shoot.. it doesn't pull up everything, just whatever it feels like

I'm really in no hurry. I'll wait till I find something decent. I'm not going to but the first thing that comes along. I'm more worried about getting my new garage built right now ;).
