4 eyed HID setup

alright.. first, my plan.. since my white bird is now 4 eyed and i have some wiring to do, i need some help before i get started..

my plan is to run my outter lights as my low beams.. for my highs, i'd like to have all 4 illuminated.. i just ordered 2 'single beam' HID kits to power the lights.. i still have to order the housings, possibly next week..

anyway, my problem.. with my car being an 87, the low beam wire loses power when the high beams are switched on.. me and BJL chatted about it for a brief moment and he suggested an earlier headlight switch.. but after some thinking on the subject, i thought to myself that the multi-function switch (turn signal switch) is what controls the high/low beam switch.. am i correct in my theory, that i would have to change the multi-function switch, not the headlight switch in the dash?

do all 4 lights illuminate for the high beams on a 4 eyed bird? this really should have been my first question.. i've never seen a 4 eyed bird with it's high beams on, so i'm unsure

and would the 86- mutli-function mount to my column without issues? and are the plugs the same? if i have to, i will grab a plug from a 4 eyed car and pin it with my wiring to make it work

last question.. WTH did i get myself into? :hick:

From what I can tell you took an '87 car and put an '85 front end on it.  If that is the case you can simply use the ground, low beam, and high beam leads one side to trigger relays to work the four headlight system.  The relays only needs about 300 mA for a trigger which can be supported by your existing multi-function switch and headlight switch.  The headlamps you are ordering come with the same H4 bulb which is a high/low bulb.  Wire up the two outer units for low beam only and wire up all four for high beam which is the way the 83-86 cars were wired from the factory.  Hopefully this makes sense.
