3g fuse location

Hello everyone,i'm about to do the 3g upgrade and i was wondering if the power wire fuse need to be near the alternator or near the solenoid or if it matters?                                                thanks

At the solenoid and use a link. That is how i would do it.

I put mine in the pass side frame rail and one in the trunk next to the battery. I'm carbed and nothing is there except the MSD. The factory had a fuse link like Tom said. in my opinion it wouldn't matter where you put it I would use one though

Megasquirt 2 with 36lbs injectors on hurricane intake with 4150 throttle body.Tremec TKO 600 Quicktime blowsheild spec stage 3 clutch. 3.73 gears and still not done
