AOD 4WD (Sumped) Tranny Pans

I have access to a bunch of the hard to find OEM tranny pans Ford put on 4WD trucks like Broncos.  These pans come clean as a whistle and wrapped in cellophane.  The 4WD pans are sought after, because unlike car AOD pans, these pans have an extra-deep sump that helps to ensure your tranny doesn't suck air during hard acceleration, or cornering.  These pans are ready to paint and install when they arrive at your house.

$32 plus shipping per pan (pans are shipped from 43232 zip).

Those look very similar to the 4r70w pans on aero and whale Crown Vic's and Grand Marquis.  Do you need a different filter to use this pan on an AOD?

Yes.  You do need a different filter when you use this pan.  The pickup tube is longer on the filter for these pans.

I have these pans advertised for sale on another forum; one that's dedicated to AOD trannies and Dan Gilsdorf (the most knowledgeable. AOD guy I know of) said you have to modify the corner holes for these pans to fit an AOD.  He said these pans ARE in fact off an AODE like you said.  That sucks, because the transmission parts supplier I got these from claimed they would fit an 88 4WD Bronco.  Since these pans won't fit an AOD without modification, I won't sell them here.
