Anybody here know to convert distributor wiring to use coil packs? November 05, 2011, 03:03:38 PM Got a '88 mustang 2.3 with a bad head and picked up a '92 motor with trans for cheap. Heard it can be done, but can't find any info. Thanks guys! Quote Selected

Anybody here know to convert distributor wiring to use coil packs? Reply #2 – November 06, 2011, 02:05:17 PM I have the computer, wiring, air box, MAF sensor, and IRCM, but it's not a direct "plug-in". Distributor can't be used because the intake manifold is too large, and single plug intake has a different bolt pattern and ports to use on the dual plug head. Quote Selected

Then you need to compare the '88 & '92 wiring diagrams and determine how to hook it up... If you aren't good with wiring, can't find instructions, or have a buddy that can wire it up, then you're stuck... Quote Selected
