'87/'88 Cougar Turbo Coupe?

Has anyone ever known of an '87/'88 Cougar converted to a Turbo Coupe, like a continuation of the '84-'86 XR7?  I know Ford never made such a car, but I don't see any reason why it couldn't be done.  I think it would make a cool car.  Just curious....

I kinda remember someone swapping a turbo 2.3L and 5-speed into one.

If someone were to convert it over with all of the additional features, that would be awesome. ABS, ride control, etc. Would be a massive undertaking.
It's Gumby's fault.

There was one on Turboford some years back.  I'm pretty sure it had everything swapped.  Drivetrain, suspension, ABS, PRC, etc.

I think the owner sold it and later saw it in a junkyard.  I wanna say it was schlodes that owned it, but can't remember for sure.

My Cougar was a 5.0 and I turbo 2.3 swapped it, but it's an 86.

Here is the thread from Turboford about the 87-88 Cougar.  Picture links are dead.
