Stroking an SO 5.0 Question

Ok, I got another dumb question here, if the SO firing order is different than the ho, would that mean a different crankshaft is used? And also if I stroke an SO block would I have to change the firing order to an HO firing order?

Just wondering cause I had a reverse rotation 427 from a boat and from what I understand the only way I could have ran it in a car would have been to change the crank, cam, ignition and accessories so I traded it off....but this is way different from just a couple cylinder firing at different times.

Just the cam is different, which makes the firing order different between the two.

Thanks, I figured it out when I was comparing the 2 different 302s. Didn't factor in that these are four strokes and they just swapped strokes on a couple cylinders.

(OR just changed when the valves open on the two similar cylinders.)

the main difference between a factory SO and HO are cams and pistons.. SO pistons don't have valve reliefs, which makes no difference if you're stroking it.. the kit will include new 1's lol

I always wondered why Fords have everything different! IF you don't know what stuff interchanges you will have problems. It makes things tough for people like me who take things apart and try to mismatch without knowing what they are doing:)
