One project done.....now onto the next.

When I got my T-Bird I started hanging out here, then got sidetracked with a Fox Mustang, then got sidetracked finishing my garage, then got back to finishing the first project I EVER started!!

This is my 1985 Ranger.  It's been minitubbed, 20 gallon Summit Fuel Cell, I designed the rear suspension that used S-10 springs and a Mopar rear, .030 over 351W loaded with go fast parts, TP full length headers, dual 3" exhaust and a C4 w/ TCI 3500 convertor.  The color is Vista Blue Metallic.  I made the hood....it's ALL steel...from a stock Ranger hood.  Since the pic I bought a set of Summit Warrior R/T wheels (15x10 rear and 15x7 front) and new BFG R T/As.  I am pleased with how it turned out.  Built it YEARS ago and drove it like crazy.  Finally got it in paint over the summer.





Now the T-Bird is on the rack for a going over and H.O. swap.

1988 T-Bird Sport Coupe--5.0 HO, MAF swap, 1-5/8" shorties, BBK/Flowmaster exhaust, Explorer intake, 70mm Edelbrock TB, T5, B&M short throw, Centerforce clutch and PP, disc brake TC rear w/ 3.55's, TC front brakes, '98 Cobra springs, DIY SFC's, other misc .  14.05 @ 98mph with launching too low and shifting too high.

One project done.....now onto the next.

Nice. I like it. I hated my 96 ranger (4cyl/5sp/reg cab/stepside) the whole time i had it and since i got rid of it i often think about how sweet it would have been with an auto/V8 swap. Particularly after "Trucks" threw a marauder engine into one.

rolling thunder, right? i have yet to see the end of that build..

nice ranger.. she sits a bit high but she looks good.. i bet she looks a million times better with the new wheels.. good luck with the bird!

I'm not a fan of the superlow trucks.  My rear tires are 275/60R15's...which are rather large...spread out on the 10" wheels and they set inside the fenders wells nicely.  The fronts are 205/60R15's on 7" wheels so they are spread out also and the stance is about right for what I like. 

If I lower it anymore I would do both ends to keep it level...and if I do that my exhaust would need redone.  Those 3" pipes take up some real estate under that little truck!

I wanna see pics of the new wheels on there! Clean truck, and definetly good looking! I saw a ranger just like that this past weekend with a wicked built 302, pro-stars, and a thunderbolt scoop on it. Sounded  good too!

Different wheels on your 'Bird? Those...just....I dunno, they're ok, but they don't pop.

Lovin the Ranger, you'll have to post some pics with the new wheels. :)

What.......you no likey me wheels?!  ;)  It's a throw back to the early 90's when they were cool!  But really......they came on the car.  I do have a set of ten holers that I may stick on it but once it's done I'll likely go with a staggered big-n-little tire/wheel combo.  I just like that look.

I'm with you on the Ranger, Dan B. It looks good as is. Very cool little truck.

Can't wait to see your 'bird done! (I like the staggered wheel look as well.)

Love the Ranger!  Makes me miss my '88 Ranger.  They are fun little trucks in stock form...I can only imagine the fun factor after shoehorning a v8 in there.
