rechromed headlight buckets

This is my first attempt at redoing the reflective surface on the inside of the headlight bucket on my 88 XR7.. what do you think?

I bought the spectra chrome system. (newchromeprocess.com) It applies a layer of silver over a special basecoat. Then you clearcoat it. I was considering maybe tinted the clear blue to give it that blue look but wasnt sure. its not a cheap system

Looks good.  But I'm concerned that the surfaces are not mirror like and will diffuse the light instead of directing it.  Will be anxious to see the results...

Very nice. Do that with the tail lights and polish all the clear and red pieces. BIG difference.

started off black with green specs, basecoated (not shown), chromed (silver layer) then tinted clear with black.. black chrome

yeah as it was my first attempt i didnt get it on smooth but ive been practicing. heres the headlight in action... (drivers side was redone)

It may not be perfect but it's better than white plastic. Cheaper than new headlights I'd have to think.
