You have no vacuum to the HVAC system. It defaults to defrost.

Is it a simple fix or should i get a "Trained Professional" to do it?

Look under your hood on the pass side firewall right next to where the heater hoses are connected to the heater core. There is a small vacuum line that leads into the car there that sometimes gets broken, cracked or disconnected.

Does anyone have pictures of where this line into the car originates and terminates?  I have had the same problem for a while and I would like to get the vents working again.
