How to bypass WOT AC cut out switch in 86 TC Reply #15 – August 20, 2011, 03:26:58 AM Quote from: TOM Renzo;364701Quote from: softtouch;364672Did you figure out the repinning yourself or follow some instructions. There must be something the program in the EEC doesn't like about it's new invironment. I dfigured it out myself using three different sites. Plus since my vision is shot, I created my own "Diagram for dummies", so that I could just count over and pull and plug as needed.Diagramhttp://i158.photobucket.com/albums/t97/biggrgivens/pci%20to%20la3%20swap/PC1tola3swap.jpgI was waiting to cut the pin 54 wire, because I waiting to see is if a new relay would solve the issue, BUT IT DIDNT, so I'm gonna clip the pin 54 wire this week and see what happens. Do you guys think it may be possible that when I hooked up my tripminder that this may have caused the issue. In order the the tripminder to show proper gas consumption I had to run a wire from pin 3 to the VSS. could this have caused my problems? Quote Selected
How to bypass WOT AC cut out switch in 86 TC Reply #16 – August 20, 2011, 02:11:35 PM I don't see any problem with pin 3. It duplicates what the 87 EVTM shows.I do see a difference between the 86 and 87 on EEC pin 10.On the 86 the PK/LB wire from the A/C clutch cycling switch goes to pin 10.On the 87 the BK/Y wire that goes to the A/C clutch goes to pin 10.On the 87 when you pick the WOT cutout you loose the 12v on pin 10.On the 86 you would not loose the 12v on pin 10.Here is what you could do to see of this makes a difference. There two PK/LB wires at the cycling switch. one goes to EEC pin 10 and the other to the fan controller pin 6.Figure out which one goes to ECC pin 10. Cut it and jumper it to the BK/Y wire that goes to the A/C clutch. Quote Selected
