ID this bird please June 20, 2011, 07:42:34 PM Can anyone confirm Ford put a Cobra engine in a 93 bird? This car is in the UK. My daughters boyfriend was looking at buying it. It's clean, but I am not sure of the "Cobra" thing. It's like every single Mustang with a 302 is a Boss or every 351 is a Cleveland...I will get him to send me the VIN. Quote Selected

ID this bird please Reply #4 – June 21, 2011, 09:55:57 AM I saw a couple at Carlisle a couple years ago but I think it was an aftermarket company that built them. I'm pretty sure they had the Cobra brakes and wheels as well. They were both good looking rides. Quote Selected

It will be interesting if it is a Cobra motor.Hi Dunc, the details of the car are as follows: Just for the Americans out there the car was originally registered in Michigan USA. Where the cars are manufactured. (as reg plate shows) Ford Thunderbird Cobra 5.0 V8 ( Cobra spec I believe is upgraded brakes from the Ford Mustang (larger discs etc) K plate (1993) Quote Selected
ID this bird please Reply #6 – June 21, 2011, 12:09:43 PM I'm pretty sure that is aftermarket, because the only 2 cars in 1993 with cobra engines were the Mustang Cobra 5.0 and the Lincoln Mark VIII 280HP 4V 4.6 Quote Selected
