Hahaha maybe my 83 had the supercharger taken off by the previous owner as well!

with a little elbow grease that paint will shine up to brand new..... would be a nice little project, I wish my car had the vent window..... and i think I've seen crank windows once in a junkyard car

my 83 TC has crank windows,  someone buy this thing and send it my way... will trade an 87 TC

I just got to thinking, I thought Ford started putting superchargers in on in '89 on the Tbird supercoupes and Cougar XR7.......did they experiment with it in 84 or would it have been aftermarket if the car had it.......I though I read all this time that the '83 - '88 generation only had the turbo charged cars.    Am I Mistaken or right?

There were prototype SC Turbo Coupes in 1988. I believe Detroit PD had them.
Before that, I've never found evidence of supercharged cars. Ford had plenty of experience with turbocharging since the 1970s so I don't even think they thought too much of supercharging.

These are really cool cars. TC wheels (and likely suspension, note the PRC strut covers), base grille (the TC snout probably couldn't provide enough cooling) and chrome trim instead of the TC red trim. Pity they were very likely crushed...

The '57 Thunderbird had a supercharger option ;)

88 Thunderbird LX: 306, Edelbrock Performer heads, Comp 266HR cam, Edelbrock Performer RPM intake, bunch of other stuff.

Those Dearborn PD T-birds are friggin sweet!
'88 'bird, 10.9:1 306 w/TFS top end, forged rods/pistons, T-5 swap & bunch of other stuff, 1-family owned, had it since ‘98, 5.0tbrd88 on Instagram and YouTube
