Help with vacuum lines on Upper intake

Ok, so i got a new Tbird today, and i got it for DIRT cheap. The reason why? The guy was messing with his car and mixed up some vacuum lines. It's an 88 and has the 5.0. It's automatic. I know there are 2 vacuum lines in the back of the upper, and then attached to that is where the "s" line goes. Under the upper is the fuel lines, but there are a total of 9 vacuum lines and i'm scared they're all messed up. On the passengers side of the engine bay there are 4 vacuum lines connected to another 4. And by the throttle there is another vacuum line that goes to the upper i'm assuming. Any1 know what order these go? The car is riding extremely rough because of this i'm hoping.

PLEASE HELP.

Ebay. Get yourself an EVTM for an '88 Thunderbird. Worth their weight in gold, they are. Although they're a little on the skimpy side for the vacuum stuff, they'll have the info you need. I'd look it up for ya, but mine is out in the shop, locked up, and I'm about to go to bed...

I dont have them all committed to memory.

You will find pics related to this by searching Cobra or Explorer intake swaps on google. Those have different ports, so its always a source of confusion.

There should be a decal on the fan shroud with the vacuum layout.

On my 88 XR7 5.0L the port labeled "capped" in turquoise in the upside down upper plenum picture... that one has a vacuum line running back to the MAP sensor on the firewall. I've got the non-MAF injection system. The vacuum layout changes somewhat depending on engine and accessory options, obviously.

BTW thanks for the info... aside from hose deterioration, I found out why my (recently purchased and being fixed) car would run but not idle... apparently someone hooked the EGR and fuel pressure regulator lines up swapped, so the EGR was opening at idle. Oopsie. Makes sense at least.

Looks to me like those 2 would have the same vacspooge at the same times????

Nope. The EGR is controlled by the EEC with a solenoid controlled vacuum valve.

There is no way those 2 metal pipes under the intake for vaspoogem are different. They are hooked to the same main vacuum fitting.

That's true, but that goes to the vacuum regulator. The regulator controls when the vacuum goes to the EGR valve.
camelid must be talking about the vacuum line at the EGR valve being swapped.

Ok, gotcha. That makes sense. Thought you meant switched at the small tubes.
