High beam switch May 16, 2005, 08:23:42 PM Ok here's the problem....The guy I bought my car from wired up the headlights and the high beams with two big gay green switches he butchered into the dash. I'm trying to get rid of those and go back to the stock switches. So what I'm trying to find out is if there is an easy way to wire this stuff back up. I guess to do that I need to know what wires I can splice into coming out of the original switch. (The high beam switch) There are about 10 different wires to choose from. And btw, whenever I use the high beam switch, the system sentry says "low beam out." Any help would be greatly appreciated. Quote Selected
Re: High beam switch Reply #1 – May 16, 2005, 08:32:18 PM Did you asked him why he did it? There is a reason for sure.....Maybe because the switch or something is broken in the column or actual wiring is bad or melted.... Quote Selected
Re: High beam switch Reply #2 – May 16, 2005, 08:53:31 PM No I didn't ask, I figured it was related to the 5.0 conversion. And also, whenever I turn the parking light switch to the position where the headlights should turn on, they don't turn on. Maybe this is all related with my battery constantly draining. Re: High beam switch Reply #6 – May 16, 2005, 11:55:50 PM We'll the high beam switch is part of the turnsignal, hazardlight deal in the colum. Maybe the healight part is messed up but if so you can buy a whole new deal for like $25. Don't have a clue to the battery draining. Unless it has a bad cell and it is draining itself. Any how even if the wores are toast you should be able to run new ones. Also just find a fox body in the junk yard and pull all the headlight wireing. hope this helps Quote Selected
