I really appreciate my car

(this isn't anything serious, just some things that made me smile lately)

My TC was my first car at age 16, and I've loved it ever since. I can't believe I ended up with it (I mean its not that common). It may not be expensive or fast, or very good looking at the moment (that will change soon) but it's my baby. I may get snubbed at car meets and laughed at off this site on other forums for having it but at the end of the day I still love it. Couple things that put a smile on my face lately..

My wife's much younger little brother loves cars and loves to modify his toys (combine parts, paint on them, etc). When we were visiting last he showed me that he had repainted one of them to look cool:

(look at my car in my signature) :D

And while I was at Wal-Mart we saw this pull in next to us:

*shrug* :) Makes me happy to own a real turbo Thunderbird (even if it is slow lol).

Yeah, he really feels like a little brother to me. I'm happy I get along well with my in-laws and that they've accepted me 'into the family'.

Hmm.. well just cause that bird had stupid walmart turbo badges on it does not mean it isn't actually turboed. It could be a turbo powered v6. Or it could just be someone who is making a snarky comment about the lameness of his 3.8 powered slow car. Now I'm wondering...

Oh and btw I think your car's cool. You took the two best aspects of each of the four-eyed foxes and combined em. The cougar had the better front end but the rear roofline just doesn't work and the tbird is, well the tbird, which there is nothing wrong with it but the cougar front end really makes it look high class.

I know what you mean.  My bird was supposed to be my sister in-laws first car.  Her dad bought it for her and she didn't want it...it sat for maybe 6 months.  Then we got into a car accident and needed a car so I could get to work...now the forsaken bird is mine!  I get made fun of by ricers, and even some mustang owners look at the car funny.  But most people look at the car and admire it.  Hell one guy did a double take so fast he dropped his cigarette.  Our cars have there fans, but their voices are drowned out by idiots with huge spoilers! lol
