There is oil in the plenum? What?

Okay there is no way the car has this much blowby. If it did, it would be smoking like a freight train. The car does not smoke whatsoever. I'll check the line line on the oil filter neck. I know it's there, maybe the link is kinked, or maybe there is a blockage somewhere. Thanks.

If anything else comes to mind, let me know.

Well I checked the hose from the oil fill neck an its clear. There was no blockage. I'm really banging my head against the wall on this one.

Update. I changed the intake gaskets, upper and lower, the distributor o ring, and have a new pcv valve in the car. The oil is still coming out of the line in the pictures, not as bad it seems, but its there nonetheless.

I'm so lost now... It has to be coming up from the pcv valve, but why? It's not leaking down onto the valve cover anymore, it seems to be staying in the lines. Why is this happening?

A member on a mustang forum suggested that my oil baffle might be missing from doing the intake gaskets. What is an oil baffle? Where does it go?

There should be a plate covering the hole for the pvc, that's what they call a baffle. It's on the underside of the intake. should be similar to this pic. I actually forget what a stock intake looks like.

uh, my car doesn't have on of those. It wasn't on it when I took it off... hmmm... well this is interesting... Does anyone have a picture of the stock one?  Or have a stock one they don't need? This is aggrivating... I don't want to pull the intake off again...

It will be under the metal screen and might be too deep to hit with your finger

I can pull the screen out, again, even though it's quite the PITA, and I'll try. If not, I still need one. I'll put a thing out in the parts wanted.

Alright, well the plate clearly isn't there. I still get oil up through the PCV valve. I leaks back down onto the valve cover. Not as much as it used to, but it still does.  It seems to do it only when I "thromp" on the car, or if I'm really cruising, like on the highway at 80mph+. The car doesn't smoke or burn oil, not that I can see. I also fixed the oil leak, and for 3 weeks I have had a steady oil level!, which is the first time ever in this car, lol. There definitely is not a plate under the intake, I can see where there once was, and something must have broken off. It's not in the motor anywhere so I'm thinking the intake gasket was changed once before.

Should I consider this: http://www.mirage-performance.com/sonata/CatchCan/

I'm only getting a couple drops when it happens,  just enough to fill the channel on the stock valve covers. I'm wondering if oil in here could be affecting my idle? It runs like a vacuum leak, but its not always like that.

I honestly dont think you could exceed the cost of a new car buy installing new *stock* parts everywhere in your coug our tbird. Its just plain impossible. You could revamp the entire drivetrain/engine/suspenstion and still come out ahead.

Yeah, it'd have to take the intake off again, and replace all the gaskets again... don't wanna do that. :/
