ok! just remember the refinish is only as good as the bottom material. Notice the "Thunderbird" in gold is all cracked cause You cant fix it or at least not yet. Wondering if nickle plating would help

mine is just wearing thin, no cracking or pitting

Pretty much every panel on my 87 is new, rebuilt, or re constructed. :D

What if you soda or sand blasted it? I'd try and soda blast it as its not to rough.

85 GT 2A hatch =  tan int. 2.5" full exhaust, BBK headers, AutoMeter Pro Comp gauges, 5-Lug w/17" Bullitts, converted to FI, 8.8 w/3.55s etc.
90 LX EL hatch = grey int. stock 5.0 auto
85 GT 1C hatch = parts car :(

it has to be conductive for the electroplating, blasting it would remove the metals (Im thinking) and I dont have either a soda or silica blaster
