my 87 cougar September 26, 2010, 03:52:11 PM Hey everyone, my parents had an 86 cougar when I was growing up and I loved that car, I finally found a cougar of my own. I have been lurking here for sometime. Just bought an 87 cougar for $300. It had 160066km on it, a saggy faux fur headliner and a hell of a shake when applying the brakes. After changing the rotors and pads she drove A LOT smoother. She had an exhaust leak (completly disconnected after the last cat) so, I bought her for $300 and then less than $500 worth of parts (inuding a windshield) and she was legally on the road! I plan on a custom interior with a custom dash, new carpet, custom audio (thinking piller mount tweeters, small subs just enough to enhance the bass and some decent 6x9s. I plan on a custom hood cowl and a HO 302 install. Still tossing the idea of putting a standard tranny in. I am going to do some body work and then paint her. I am not sure on color/scheme. but I have time to think about that. Thanks everyone Quote Selected
