WTB: Working stock radio and speakers

I'm in the market for some speakers and radio for an 88 cougar.  Just something to at least listen to some music and talk radio.

I believe I need the door speakers and the rear deck speakers.

Let me know what you got.  Thanks!

^^What he said^^

It is near impossible to find a good set of salvage speakers that are not dry rotted or damaged from being played too loud.

Just get a new set of inexpensive yet efficient speakers that do not take a lot of power to drive them. Those work well on lower wattage output radios like the original factory radios.

That's a stock radio, and it may have been in your Cougar, but it's not a stock Cougar (Or Ford) radio...

That's what came in the car when it was bought from the ford dealership, got the premium sound package.

ScorchingRed88Cougar, no thanks on that GM Delco radio.  I'm looking for a factory Ford unit.

Alright, I'll pick up some cheap speakers from Amazon - like the BOSS BRS35, BRS65 and BRS5768.  Are those efficient Watchdevil?

But I still need a headunit on the cheap.  Anyone?

I have a set of speakers out of my 87 thunderbird, they worked fine when I parked the car and removed them. They are sitting in a box in my garage.

jpc647,  thanks for the offer.  If you think they will still work, I'll take them.  PM me a price shipped to 28104.

BTW, is it all six of the speakers?  Do you happen to have the attaching screws also?

Thanks!
