PCV Valve Plate for Intake August 04, 2010, 04:26:59 PM I need the plate which covers the hole where the PCV valve sits for an 87 Thunderbird 5.0. If you have one let me know, or know where to find one. I checked with summitt and Jegs to no avail. Ford surely doesn't have it. Quote Selected
PCV Valve Plate for Intake Reply #1 – August 04, 2010, 04:35:46 PM What plate? It's a screen in the intake,a rubber grommet that slides into the intake on top of the screen, then the PCV valve which goes into the grommet. I got my grommet from O'Reillys. Quote Selected

PCV Valve Plate for Intake Reply #3 – August 04, 2010, 04:45:16 PM I'd bet someone has a stock 5.0 intake laying around that they can either pull the baffle from,or sell the lower intake as a whole pretty cheap. Quote Selected

PCV Valve Plate for Intake Reply #7 – August 05, 2010, 05:21:08 PM It'd have to take the intake off again, correct? How did you guys attach it to the intake again? Anyone got pictures along the way of what you did, size, shape etc. Quote Selected
PCV Valve Plate for Intake Reply #8 – August 06, 2010, 02:28:08 PM Me and Vin did it to cobra type intakes, not sure if it would work on a stock one, could be made to work. Look up wildBird on here and check his post, he has pics when he did his it was a few years since though, you may have do dig some for it.. I didn't take any. I do have the pattern for it I could email to you to try it. Quote Selected
PCV Valve Plate for Intake Reply #9 – August 08, 2010, 03:16:00 PM Is there anything I could do to stop it from coming up that would not involve taking the intake off again? IS there anything i could but on the bottom of the screen, like a "oil barrier" that would allow the car to vent but not allow the oil to come through? I don't want to have to rip everything apart again, I don't want to have to re-buy the complete gaskets kit, because its been adhered on, and if I disturb it, I'll have to do it all over again. Suggestions, thoughts? Quote Selected
PCV Valve Plate for Intake Reply #10 – August 08, 2010, 05:52:18 PM Well what I did is I took the PCV valve, the grommet, and the screen out. I made a small circular piece of metal to sit in the grove underneath the screen. Hopefully this could act like a splash guard and still allow the fumes/vapors to come up. Time will tell. Still open for other ideas just in case this doesn't work. Quote Selected
