Busted Disconbobulated Booster July 24, 2010, 10:37:35 PM Ok, I just bought an 87 TC 5 speed off criags list. I dont even have it home yet but here is the problem with it as described from the guy I bought it from: Turbo has been rebuilt in the past 7k miles and spools up quick to 15 psi but it does have one running issue where it falls out of boost suddenly as if it has a leak but I have not been able to find the source of that problem and I am tired of working on the car. So in a nut shell...it spools up, hits 15 psi and s out. Im thinking a leak or something with the wastegate controller. It has a ghetto looking manual one, almost like the one I had on my Lebaron Turbo. Also, what the differences between an 86 Turbo and an 88? (Besides the intercooler) THANX:burnout: Quote Selected
