A couple of pics of my car in puppiesan, a 1998 Stagea.

It may look like a mild mannered station wagon, but it had the Heart (and Drivetrain) of a R34 GTR (RB26, Twin Turbo, 6 Spd, AWD, IRS, ABS). 430 whp with just a CAI, HKS standalone, and 12 psi. She originally came with an RB25, Single turbo, 5 spd auto, and all the other stuff. The car next to me is a buddy's '91 R32 GTR and 2004 STI.

Both pics were take at the Ashiniku Skyway, a public road highway that's used for Time Attack on Sundays. Blasting around the mountains is awesome, especially with Mt Fuji in the background. It would have cost me $11K to bring here back to the States and legally get her through Customs. I still wouldn't have been able to get it federalize to make it street legal. If I wasn't buying a house at the time, I would have spent the cash to bring it back with me. I wonder if I made the right choice

And Yes, a lot of people thought it was a Volvo!

Twin turbo? 6 speed? AWD and IRS? ABS??? Those are all terms we don't hear too often on this forum

Sounds it was a ton of fun to drive though. Must have been nerve wracking driving down hills like that, knowing the penalty for failure...
