strut suggestions. REVISED

i have 600-720 Lb/inch rated springs up front, what struts would you suspension guys reccomend? i looked around and found a few things, but i dont want to go to stif for my application, or buy new struts that are nowhere near handeling ablility for the springs. i figured on getting the 97-93 struts sence i lowered the front of my 88 with the springs i got.

Bilsteins. They are harsh at first, but smooth out when they break in. Expensive though. Baseline Tokico's are good for the price. You can prolly buy take-offs for cheap from Bullitts and Mach 1s. Front springs on those are rated at 600 in/lb... that's what I'm running now. Or you could get the Illumina model and have adjustablity.

i'v narrowed it down to 3. i coulnd find Bilsteins at summit, except for the 05 and i think they were 300 for a set of 2 front. thats not bad, but i couldnt find any information on em. i'd realy not like to be spending 170 each on a koni strut, but then again i dont think 600-720 Lb/inch rated springs  will require them. they are koni reds rite? then again, that lifetime warrentee sounds nice. and the Bilsteins are so what do you all think?

KYB GR-2...59.88 each

KYB GR-2 gas shocks and struts rely on velocity-sensitive valving to respond to changing road conditions for a smooth, comfortable ride. They feature sintered-iron pistons and guide rods for strength, hard-chrome piston rods for added durability, and seamless cylinders and eye rings that eliminate typical weak points found in other brands' products. GR-2 shocks and struts also have a patented check valve to minimize foaming and aeration, to maintain control under tough conditions.

KYB AGX...119.95

AGX adjustable gas shocks and struts are built with the advanced engineering and quality that you would expect from KYB. AGXs have velocity-sensitive valving that gives a comfortable ride under gentle driving conditions, yet automatically gets firmer as the driving gets more serious. These shocks let you tune the damping for your driving conditions without having to lift the vehicle or remove anything to change the settings. You select the damping rate simply by turning an external  on the body of the shock, or via a screwdriver slot on the top of the piston rod, depending on the make and model of the vehicle.

Koni...169.95 - 135.95 (87-93 are 170, and 94-2004 are 136)

Unlike most shock absorbers, Koni adjustable street shocks and struts vary both the rate of oil flow and the spring load on the valve to give you the ride and handling you want. Many Konis have an adjuster accessible right at the shock tower, to make fine-tuning your ride firmness and control easy. On the other models, you need to pull the shocks off for adjustment. However, irrespective of the type, you'll be able to adjust your Konis forever, because Koni puts a lifetime guarantee on them against both defects and wear.

I had to buy MM C/C Plates. My strut tower mount was too big and didn't break apart. Mustang struts are shorter and go all the way through the mount, but they fit fine with the plates. Keep in mind that you will still need the proper spindles. Basically you'll need 11 inch front brakes.
