Old console lid....

I'm looking for the thicker console lid,not in perfect shape.I need an older,well worn lid for cheap.

My console. '88 T-Bird. There are two styles...the thin lid and the thicker lid.I need the thicker lid....not in great shape,and cheap.

Vinny, 88 turbo coupes only have one style of console and cover. Is it a turbo coupe console?  Lopez

I've always found the thicker lid or pre-87 cars in the yard.  I think 86 Elan's?  Or was it cars that had the full center console that went back to the rear seat?  Or cars that had that goofy mirror controls insteed of the square switch.  Man I'm getting old I guess it all runs into one another anymore LOL. All 87-88 TC's I've seen always had the thin ones when I picked them.

There was no real rhyme or reason with Ford when it came to console lids, I have seen both styles in all years :D

I was just looking through my 88 dealer brochure and the TC interior shot has the thin lid and the Sport interior has the thick lid  .. maybe that was the deciding factor , anyway I will see what i can come up with Vin

Vinnie. I have a new plastic part for the inside of one if that would help.

Actually Kitz,if I had the inside part (does it screw to the top part?),that may work.The plastic part of my old console lid is busted up bad. Even the screw holes for the hinge are cracked in half....or worse.Let me know a figure and I'll shoot some bucks to you.

My console is from an older Bird I think.I've had it for a very long time.It goes all the way to the back seat,the long one.I dyed it and installed it.

Let me dig it out,I'm not actually sure if it even has screw holes. I never had a use for it,if you can use it shipping only.

I think my old lid has two screws in it holding the top to the bottom.
