for all you audio haters out there :p March 20, 2010, 03:23:07 AM ten years after i sold my house in long island i finely built my new speakers for my home theater system in my new house..the reason for the title is.. since the last time i posted and got bashed about my car audio system;)anyway..the speakers are make from 5" PVC couplings.. each speaker has 4 plus "1" 3 1/2" coupling for the tweeter..fronts,center,and rear speakers are all built the same way..i was going to make the subs out of PVC all so but it was'nt worth iteach speaker has four JAMO 20443 5-1/2" Fiberglass Cone Shielded Woofers and one JAMO 20138 1" Soft Dome Shielded Tweeter the subs are made from 3/4" MDF..2 subs.. each are 1 cubic foot square external volume, internal volume is 0.66992and have 1 Miller&Kreisel 8" woofer each.the system is powered by 3 crest audio FA-901's "225watts per channel in 8 ohms"YES OLD AMPS! ones that work and produce sound correctly :flip: 1 amp for the fronts,1 for the rears, and one amp powers the center channel, and the subs..225 watts for each channel "front, rear, center, subsfor a total of 1350 wattsother notesdolby digital processor sony SDP-E800DVD/blu-ray player panasonic DMP-BD30K speaker interconnects 12/2 SJO wirei have two JBL 6208 powered studio monitors i used in my old system in my house on long island but i felt they where to bulky for this system.so the third amp was needed.and are now used as my computer desktop speakers..lol powerfull and expensive for desktop speakers..i will post pictures soon i found out that the flash on my digital camera does'nt work so i have to wait for good lighting conditionsbefore i take pictures..let the bashing insue:raspberryNick Quote Selected
