Re: 70mm Throttlebody cfm? Reply #3 – April 25, 2005, 11:29:51 AM 14.8 is pressure at sea level otherwise known as 1 BAR.The way it's measured in the chart is by inches of mercury.....QuoteWeather forecasters measure air pressure with a barometer. Barometers are used to measure the current air pressure at a particular location in "inches of mercury" or in "millibars" (mb). A measurement of 29.92 inches of mercury is equivalent to 1013.25 millibars. Barometer An instrument used by weather forecasters and scientists to measure air pressure at any given moment for a particular place. A standard mercury barometer has a glass column about 30 inches long, closed at one end, with a mercury-filled reservoir. Air pressure is usually measured in millibars or in inches of mercury. Mercury in the tube adjusts until the weight of the mercury column balances the atmospheric force exerted on the reservoir. High atmospheric pressure forces the mercury higher in the olumn. Low pressure allows the mercury to drop to a lower level in the column. An aneroid barometer uses a small, flexible metal box called an aneroid cell. The box is tightly sealed after some of the air is removed, so that small changes in external air pressure cause the cell to expand or contract. Quote Selected

It is standard to use 25-28 in H2O to compare flow rates - so I would use those figures. Quote Selected

Re: 70mm Throttlebody cfm? Reply #7 – April 26, 2005, 08:15:06 AM On Accufabs page... Anyone notice???? STOCK 58 & 60mm, test results not available..Accufab 65mm RACE, test results not available...I believe they don't want you to know what they are... But they slipped up..Accufab 65mm, 664cfm @ 28"... (and at the bottom of the page)Stock Explorer 65mm 680cfm @ 28". So their aftermarket 65mm is not as good as the stock Ford piece??? Quote Selected
