[VID] 5.0 + Headers + Glasspacks + Side Exit

Well I was feeling a little bit nostalgic today after I was driving around and saw my old Cougar so I looked up an old video I took.  I realized I never actually posted it here, so I thought I would, in case someone was interested in a similar exhaust setup.  It may be a bit redneck for some :mullet: but I liked it.

This is an in car video, light acceleration then roll on the throttle.  The camera work, quite frankly, is atrocious, but its one of the few videos I have of her.

The Car:
87 Cougar
5.0 V8
stock Mustang headers
full custom mandrel bent 2.25" exhaust with no crossover
glass packed lers
no catalytic converters
side exit (in front of rear tires)

I think your car is louder than mine with 2.5" mandrel bent exhaust. Mine exits at the rear bumper though.

It actually sounds quieter in the video than in person.  It isn't all that loud until you get on it, then it is close to straight pipe loud with a bit less cackle on the overrun.  The pipe guy was actually surprised at how sedate it could be when you take it easy, he expected it to be very loud the whole time.
