Scored some free parts today

A guy in my pipefitters class had 2 rearends laying around along with 2 5-lug wheels. A Ford 9" from a truck, a Ford 8.8", and 2 steel wheels that look indentical to Weld Draglites but chrome. The 8.8" had 2 spares bolted to it. One of them being aluminum. It also has long studs, 3.73 gears, and some type of aftermarket diff. it has coil springs where the "S" spring would be. I can't get it to turn over because the shoes are seized to the drums. the gears have a little rust on them, but I think it'll clean up ok. If I can salvage this rear, it's going in the coupe. I'll get pics tomorrow.

got the 8.8" tore down. it has an Auburn diff, unknown 31-spline 4-lug axles, and FMS 3.73 gears.

I has to beat the snot out of the drums with a 5lb sledge to get them off. And the only way I was getting the crosspin out of the carrier was drilling 2 holes north and south through the housing to drive it out. I don't think anybody would want the housing now, so it's getting sped.

The wheels are Cragars.
