Got a new DD

'87 Ranger XLT 2.9 v6 5 speed 2wd. It's in pretty nice shape, but it's not perfect. Bought it for 1500 from a retired gentleman that said he had back problems and wanted an automatic.

Here it is after a good wash and some TLC.

I wouldn't change a thing on that truck.  Very sharp Ranger as it sits!  I really like the two-tone and the wheels.  Those are reliable little vehicles and are cheap to own.  Makes me wish I still had my old '88.  Kinda the reverse of your situation though...I sold mine to an old man.

nice truck that is the same body style i'm trade my truck for. it would be a great truck to put a supercharged 3.8 engine in if it becomes a project instead of daily driver.

Yep they are, I think they're a pretty nice match for this truck.

Actually, it's surprisingly quiet. Somebody at some point either put in a reman engine or they at least put a different one in. There's casting numbers on the engine parts that are newer than the truck. :hick:

It would be awesome, but it's not looking good for 2010 unfortunately.
